How to Develop a Physiome Project

Physiome projects can be initiated for any field, small or large, although it is not recommended to take on a large field when beginning a project. They can be either formally or informally setup using the standard structure listed on the Organization page. Initiating members of proposed project should consult existing projects for the purposes of coordination (to avoid overlapping effort and to ensure the use of the same styles in databasing and model and tutorial presentation).

Start a Physiome Web Site

This web site should be one of many physiome-related sites. Web sites should serve to disseminate a particular class of models in a focal area of research or as a reference or database in a particular field. Web site development is normally a function of a specific project.

Develop Tutorials

Tutorials are useful online learning resources for students, postdocs, and seasoned investigators entering a new field. Tutorials should be illustrated with models that can be run on the web and should possess logical and coherent material development. Tutorials may eventually turn into web-based texts. Please write to NSR Physiome staff if you are interested in developing tutorials that correspond to the models on this site.
